The Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum - a Must See!
The rare and unusual....
rare of unusual? hmmm...
A Kamikaze flight pod - carried under the wing and designed for a one-way trip
I have to say that I was less than thrilled with the prospect of visiting the newest of the Smithsonian air museums, but this place is just overwhelming - needless to say, it's huge, but more than that it is amazingly comprehensive and contains relics of the origins of flight all the way to the shuttle touchdowns. If you are in the DC area, the museum is located at Dulles Airport and it really is worth the visit!
