POST BIRTHDAY FUN

Gramma at the helm.

Sept 8 - So we didn't get to our fishing trip til the following day, but oh boy did we have fun.  The wind has increased daily, now that there is no hurricane, and averages at about 20 mph.  Of course, that was no deterrent for lil ol us, so out we trekked into the bay, trying to decide what we wanted to do.

What we did do was cruise westward, toward the Robert Moses Causeway and take a gander at what was cookin with the mechanics;

   1.  engines overheat

   2. electrics are wired like a blue ringed octopus

   3. house battery does not charge (ie - haul that anchor up by hand)

At some point, we dropped the hook and decided to have lunch, then fish.

Oh boy oh boy - are we having fun!

Sitting down to a sumptuous repast of egg salad sandwiches and potato salad, we were approached by a lone swan.  Of course, we fed the little devil.  Out of nowhere appeared a belligerent cob who arched his wings with threat and chased off the youngster- make room for his pen and their three kids.  Oh goody.

I'm da man.

I told you to share with your brother!

Needless to say, after that, all we would have caught would be a dumb fuzzy kid, so the fishing went by the wayside and we decided to head in - which was when we found out about the house anchor not charging and Bill had to haul it up by hand.
